How to Play
Start by pressing SPACE on your keyboard.

Jump over holes, spikes, boulders, snakes, and alligators, ride platforms, and avoid ceilings while the scene streams in your address bar.

The longer you survive, the faster it gets.
Behind the scenes
This is a tiny runner game inspired by URL Snake that renders directly into the URL hash using Braille characters. When I first saw the game, I enjoyed the challenge of creating something meaningful within a space of 4 by 100 pixels.

Besides that, there is no color, and the possibilities are limited to what the URL bar accepts. Not all characters are rendered; for example, the space character is converted to %20.
Another great inspiration was the games in the Game Poems book, many examples discuss how a game player can be something simple like a circle or a square. In my game, the player is a pixel.
After spending months working on Air Fiesta, I was a bit burned out from its complexity, so I decided to take on this little weekend challenge and build a small game for fun. It shouldn’t take more than the weekend, and here it is.

Also decided to make it an open source project, I think there are other mechanics that could be used, such as those in a Space Attack or Prince of Persia style. Controlling a player jumping through platforms and seeing the game move vertically would be quite interesting.
Example of a game level:
⠤ ⠤⠤⠤⠤ ⠤⠤⚑⠤
⠤⠿⠶⠤⠤⠤⠶⠶⠤ ⠤
⠤⠦⠤⠤⠶⠤⠤⠤⠶⠶⠿
Enjoy!
