We’ll be nomading this year. We want to explore the US a bit more, looking for other places to live for a while. To be honest, I think it’ll be hard to beat the Bay Area.

Now: June 2026
- Travel
- Our trip back to the US was a bit chaotic. We missed a connection in SΓ£o Paulo, and the next flight was only 24 hours later. To avoid missing the flight, I suggested to Leandra that we abandon our luggage since it was taking a while to show up. She just laughed (I was really considering that :p). The whole process of requesting hotel vouchers and refunds from Gol and United was quite an experience. I asked Google Gemini for United’s phone number in Brazil, and it gave me a number from scammers. It’s funny how the scammer was rude the whole time, and it took me a while to realize it.
- Work
- Bird Rise is flying high, i’ve been runing many experiments and things a looking up. There are still some very annoying bugs that need to be fixed, though.
- Decided to give Smart Keys another chance. Created QWERTYS, a casual game that is an engineering project used as a marketing strategy to promote the app. It was one of the most entertaining games I’ve made. It reached #4 on Product Hunt, which surprised me. I wrote more about it here.
- Relaxing
- Last month in Brazil, I stayed for a long time, but it was good to see friends and family. And finally, I had my surgery to breathe well again.
- I’m still reading Making Sense of Word HIstory, It’s a very long book.
- Exercise
- Doing less and less exercise.. this is not good. π

Why am I writing here?
Every time I start writing about something, I end up doing some pretty unexpected research or connecting the dots to an insight. Those things usually turn into rabbit holes, which I totally love falling into.
I wish I had written more when I was younger, especially as a teenager. I always have so much fun reading stuff I wrote 20 years ago.
It also helps me lock in some memories. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and sometimes provides closure as well, which I think is really important these days. I hope it can also help someone else on their journey.
Plus, it makes me grateful and helps me remember the people who were somehow part of it.
