The NYT Is (Also) a Games Company
I shipped a silly game to sell a keyboard, hit #4 on Product Hunt, and came away convinced the Times took this hundred-year-old playbook to another level. I just shipped a game called QWERTYS. It’s Tetris with a twist: the board is your keyboard, and pieces made of…

Bootstrapping isnβt sustainable if it keeps eating into my lunch money. Itβs time to turn downloads into dollars.

Live in different places
We’ll be nomading this year. We want to explore the US a bit more, looking for other places to live for a while. To be honest, I think it’ll be hard to beat the Bay Area.

Now: July 2026
- Back to the Bay Area, ahh how I’ve missed this little place on Earth.
- Work
- Bird Rise is flying high, i’ve been runing many experiments and things a looking up. There are still some very annoying bugs that need to be fixed, though.
- We started experimenting with other ideas, such as different products for the bird lovers (Moon Rise) community or new alarm themes. It has been a fun experience. I’m still using our process to gather signals from audiences and understand their needs.
- Relaxing
- Well, having a blast around SF, Berkeley, and Oakland. We are spending more time exploring cafes, restaurants, and just being outside.
- We also spent some time with some pets: Mary, Lulu, Bayley, Dora, Pearl, and Zoe. We heard that Dora passed away last week, poor thing. She was 17 years old but still had some bursts of energy throughout the day to go for a run.
- I’m still reading Making Sense of Word HIstory, It’s a very long book. But I’m not really dedicating enough time to that. We are binge-watching a lot, though; we’ve watched Euphoria and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
- Exercise
- Doing less and less exercise.. this is not good. π

Why am I writing here?
Every time I start writing about something, I end up doing some pretty unexpected research or connecting the dots to an insight. Those things usually turn into rabbit holes, which I totally love falling into.
I wish I had written more when I was younger, especially as a teenager. I always have so much fun reading stuff I wrote 20 years ago.
It also helps me lock in some memories. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and sometimes provides closure as well, which I think is really important these days. I hope it can also help someone else on their journey.
Plus, it makes me grateful and helps me remember the people who were somehow part of it.
