These photos were in the Livro de Mochila gallery folder. The post that went with them never survived, so this one is rebuilt from memory.
The plan looked simple, at least on the map: walk all the way around Florianópolis island in seven weekends, one stretch of coast at a time, beaches and rocky points included.

At the end of the first day, completely exhausted, I got to a rocky point with a sign saying that a lot of people had lost their lives on those rocks, and asking everybody to be careful. I went on the trail anyway, aaand… I almost fell on the rocks. It was late in the day and I was alone, which made it really scary.
That was a big sign (the second one that day) that the project needed better planning. I made it through the first weekend and was already dead, and the other six went straight back into the drawer of great ideas…
At least the first stretch paid off, with a beach full of old wooden posts and a storm that rolled in right on time for the photos.
